Family-friendly restaurant and sports bar located downtown Custer, SD. New upper deck open in 2012. Large menu has something for everyone in the family - delicious sandwiches, best buffalo burgers in the Black Hills, salads, wraps, pizza, pasta, steaks and vegetarian entrees. Our chef specializes in South Dakota wild game including buffalo, elk, walleye and pheasant. Catch your favorite team in action in our sports bar and enjoy a great lunch or dinner in our restaurant featuring a full bar and an excellent selection of microbrews and wines. Kitchen open from 11 am to 10 pm during the summer.

The steak bites and nachos were delicious. Burgers were good, but they forgot to put all the toppings on mine and my in-laws burger, so we had to ask for our toppings. If we ever stop again, I will just be eating the steak bites. Friendly staff!

Ok so while staying in the Custer area, I asked my wife to find us a restaurant in ton that serves some protein of the local hunted game. My wife had Elk Stew, mother in law had the Buffalo short ribs, and the men had the Boar Ossubuco. For an appetizer we had the Pheasant Flat bread and it was just ok. However, everything else we ate was amazing! Especially the Ossubuco. I highly recommend dropping in on this family friendly spot next time you are in the area.

Really tasty food. Despite the fact that it was a very busy day the food didn't take very long to come out, and the waitress checked in often. My burger was really good, and the wait staff was friendly. Would definitely dine here again.

If I lived here, I would make it a weekly stop. Venue is rustic and the bar area was very cozy. Food looked so good, I forgot to take pictures of our dishes... But all were VERY tasty! They also have and upstairs outdoor area that overlooks the quaint town... Fun!

Fantastic service even during the Fourth of July before fireworks! Great food and great wine. Definitely plan on stopping by again before my trip is over! Love the atmosphere and everything is clean and crisp. I had the Loco Burger with Garlic-Parmesan Fries and White Zinfandel. Filled me up and would order again. 10/10 would recommend to anybody passing through!Edit: our server Nicole did phenomenal! Hope I get her when I come back! (They have a couple but I know she has blonde hair. 😜)

Wonderful place. We found it because it suddenly started to snow very much and thought it would clear up soon. It didn't but we had a nice lunch here.

The 'hot-spot' in downtown Custer. We've eaten here many times. The food's always good (not outstanding) and the service is generally good too. The decor and ambience are quite good as well... it has the feeling of a trendy place. The prices are moderate. Can be very busy depending on the season and time of day.

We stopped at the Buglin' Bull for dinner while staying in Custer. The beer flight was top notch (and a great way to try something new!), food was tasty and the service was great. Thank you for a an all around great experience. Would certainly stop again for a bite to eat.

Open on the 4th. Super busy. Great staff, and I ordered their specially, the osso bucco. It was pretty darn good. My friend got the Buffalo ribs and he enjoyed those.

First impression was right on to what we got,Warm, relaxing, and we'll kept. It is a nice bar and grill. Great food and service. We had 2 appetizers and 5 adult meals and one child meal. I found the price to be average for our family.

Busy place! Considering how busy it was we did get our food in good time. Food was good. Little pricey for the amount of food you get. Definitely be back as long as they get the cooling system working. It was very warm in the restaurant the day we were there.

Sat on the roof top bar (menu is different from downstairs) and the view was perfect for people watching on the main drag. Food was great! Fries were amazing!! Would have given 5 stars but...Service, less than desirable.

Most friendly staff we encountered on our whole trip. Everyone was awesome from bus boy to hostess to bartender. We loved their funny shirts (even bought our own). We got the buffalo burger it was amazing! Best place!! We sat on the roof outdoor seating! Hope we can return soon!!!!!!! Until then I'll wear my smokey bear I put out shirt!!!!

How about boar osso buco? Melt in your mouth tender, confoundingly rich yet not at all heavy. Sauce among the best I've had anywhere. Spot-on service, reasonable wait for our order, everything went very, very well. My wife had the elk medallions that she'd been done out of at the Gun Barrel in Jackson Hole. Loved 'em.

The service here was great, menu has a decent selection. The stuffed mushrooms were awesome. Chicken wrap was frozen and lacked flavor, but the wife's salad was great.

Ordered the Buffalo stuffed mushroom appetizer which was delicious. The elk burgers were very tender. The sweet potato fries and parmesan an garlic fries were wonderful. We had excellent service. Very pleased with this restaurant, good atmosphere and our server was great.
